Lauki ka Bharta or Lauki ka Chokha Recipe-
Ingredients
- 300 g Lauki
- 3 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 1 cup Onions (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic (Paste)
- 1/4 tbsp blak pepper powder
- 1 cup Tomato (grated)
- 2 tsp Green Chilli (Chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tbsp Gram masala powder
- 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
Steps
1. Wash and peel the lauki. And boil in pressure cooker. when boil keep aside
2. Heat oil in a pan.
3. Once the oil is hot, add green chilli and let them crackle for a few seconds.
4. Add onions and saute for a 2-3 minutes.
5. Add ginger and garlic paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
6. Add tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add coriander powder, turmeric powder,red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, blak pepper powder, gram masala powder and salt.
Add boiled mashed lauki and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Cover the pan and cook for 8-10 minutes until oil starts to separate from the sides of the pan.
Add lemon juice and fresh coriander and mix well.
Serve hot.
