This is an very simple and quick and tasty breakfast recipe of chilla made with sooji (rava or cream of wheat).
Chillas are pancakes made from gram flour or other lentils. Here the chilla are made from sooji also known as rava or cream of wheat.
It tastes so delicious as it is, or with any chutney of your choice.
Healthy and testy sooji cheela made quickly in few minuts. This is so easy to make and is great for busy morning.
Suji Ka Cheela prepared with curd, vegetables and semolina the taste more tempting.
INGREDIENTS
1 bowl rava / sooji / semolina,
1 bowl curd / yogur or 1 cup curd / yogurt
salt to test
1 glass water,as required water
2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp tomato, finely chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
½ tsp ginger paste
1/2 tbsp garlic paste
1/2 tbsp Cumin rosted powder
1/4 tbsp black paper powder
1/4 tbsp Red chilli powder
1/4 tbsp Beaking soda
2 peace Cheese slices
2 tbsp capsicum finely chopped
1 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
2 tbsp oil for roasting chillaoil for roasting chilla
INSTRUCTIONS
firstly, in a large bowl take 1 bowl rava and 1 cup curd.
also add ¾ cup water.
with the help of whisk, mix well without forming any lumps.
rest for 20 minutes or till rava swells completely.
further add 2 tbsp onion, 2 tbsp tomato, 1 green chilli,½ tsp ginger garlic chopped and 1 tbsp coriander leaves.and capsicum 2tbsp, salt to test, black paper 1/4, roasted cumin powder 1/2 tbsp, red chilli powder 1/4 tbsp, Beaking soda 1/4,
mix well and add water if required to get thick flowing consistency batter.
now grease the dosa pan with oil and spread a ladleful of batter thickly.
pour ½ to 1 tsp of oil around the edges.
cook the chilla for 2 minutes or till it gets cooked well.
flip over and press gently making sure chilla gets cooked from both sides.
continue to simmer for another minute or till chilla gets cooked completely.
finally, serve rava chilla / suji ka cheela with green chutney and tomato ketchup or as it is.
