AFGHANI FATEER PARATHA RECIPE
Afghani fateer Paratha is a traditional and healthy Afghani flatbread stuffed with potato, onions, herbs and spices and cooked on tawa or pan with oil and served with butter . This is very simple and easy to make at home and very yummy delicious in test.
These are generally served warm as side dish or flatbread with curd and tomato ketchup even as main dish. It’s a perfect dish which includes various nutrition facts such as proteins, fiber and vitamins.
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE DOUGH
wheat flour 1 bowl
Maida 1 bowl
Salt to taste
Milk 1 glass
FOR THE FILLING -
Onion chopped 1 peace
Potato 1 peace mashed
Chat masala 1/2 tbsp
Red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp
Cumin powder 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Fry for Paratha
Ghee 3 tbsp
Butter add for serve
INSTRUCTIONS
Directions for dough:
In a bowl add wheat and maida flour, salt, ghee and knead a soft smooth dough by adding milk gradually. .Cover and keep the dough aside for 20 to 30 minutes rest.
Prepare filling of paratha
In a bowl take mashed potato and add chopped onion, chat masala,red chilli powder, cumin powder.,kashmiri red chilli powder, salt to taste and mix well all together and make stuff filling.
We cut the dough and rolled it in roti shape.apply the ghee on roti .
on one of the rolled dough circle, place the potato stuffing in the center and keep about 1 inch empty space from the sides.
Spread the potato on the roti and sprinkle the flour and roll it like a lacha of paratha.
Heated the pan and put the paratha and applied ghee and beaked from both sides till golden brown .
Served with butter on the paratha?
The paratha is ready to eat, enjoy it.
