 Chicken Salan Recipe | Chicken Shorba Curry Recipe  |


Chicken salan is just so pure and warming, a simple and satisfying hug in a bowl. It’s pretty straightforward to make with a few basic ingredients we all probably have on hand if we cook Desi food on the regular. While it requires a few additional whole spices to elevate the curry, they are completely optional – though highly recommended! This chikan salan is so awesome 
Once you have eaten, you will not be able to stop you from eating.








Shorba refers to the gravy/soup of the curry. A good gravy is essential to get the right feel and flavor for your curry Is it very tasty to eat and is very simple,eassy to cook.


Ingredients

1 bowl mustered  oil
3 medium onion, finely chopped
1tsp minced garlic
1tsp minced ginger
 salt (or to taste)
1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
1tsp cumin powder
1tsp cumin seeds
1tsp coriander powder
2 bay leaf
3 whole cloves
1/4 black pepper powder 
3 green cardamom
1tsp chilli powder (if needed to enhance the spice. Please taste before adding)
1 chicken (approx 500-600g cut into 12-14 pieces), bone in, curry pieces
1 tbsp Coriander leaf  to garnish
3 green chilli half cut 
1inch cinemun stick
1 black Cordomom 
1tbsp saouf fennel seeds 
2 tbsp Coconut powder 
1 peace Caurn flowers 


Instructions



Made a paste of take 1/4 onion and garam masala.
Heat the oil in a deep pot
Put the chicken in the pot and fry it by adding salt.
Then put cardamom bay leaves in the same oil and fry it lightly.Until the smell.and Put onions and fry them till they turn brown in color.
Add garlic ginger paste and stir for 2 minutes.
Add onion and garam masala paste and roast for 5 minutes.
All the spices are roasted by adding cumin powder  red chilli powder  Kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder.
Add a little water and roast till the spices leave the oil
Oil is leaving in the spices, now lets add chicken to the spices.
Mix the chicken well in the spices and let it cook for 10 minutes.
Now add some water to the chicken to make curry and heat it for a while.
Add a spoonful of green coriander leaves, green chillies and kewda water to the chicken and mix well.
Cook the chicken until it comes to a boil.
Cook the chicken on low heat 
Cook the chicken for 15 minutes till it melts.
Chicken  Salan  is ready, now take it out in a pot.
Chicken shorba is ready. From now on we can enjoy Salan with Roti with Paratha with Rice or pulao along with Naan
